Khulna, Jan 10 (UNB) - The government has constructed a monument at Forest Launch ghat in memory of the martyrs of liberation war.
Pakistani occupation forces and their local collaborators killed a large number independence-loving people in 1971 and dumped their bodies into the river, said a handout.
Environment and Forest Minister Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury formally unveiled the plaque of the monument Sunday.
Local journalists, elite and freedom fighters were present.
