          Khulna,
          Aug 9 (UNB) – Eleven people have been affected by dengue fever in
          the city and its surrounding areas. 
           
          
           
          Of
          the victims, six were rushed to the government hospital and five
          others to private clinics. None, however, died of the disease, said
          Civil Surgeon. 
           
          
           
          Sources
          said panic gripped the local people following the outbreak of the
          deadly dengue fever in the district. 
           
          
           
          Four
          dengue-affected people were admitted to the district General Hospital
          last month who were released after treatment. 
           
          
           
          On
          Saturday, two dengue patients- Bulbul, 30, of Betakhola village in
          Terokhada upazila and Mahmud Hassan, an Imam of a mosque, of
          Mohishakhuli village in Rupsha upazila – were also admitted to the
          General Hospital. 
           
          
           
          Another
          five dengue patients who are undergoing treatment at private clinics
          have fallen victims to the disease after coming here from Dhaka. 
           
          
           
          Meanwhile
          Khulna City Corporation (KCC) has opened a control room in its health
          department. KCC has also decided to check up and spray inside the
          buses and other vehicles arriving here from Dhaka.
