Sept 4 (UNB) – Four-party opposition alliance is expected to
announce a fresh oust-government programme from a grand rally in the
port city next Friday.
BNP
chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad,
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Golam Azam and Moulana Azizul Haque will address
the meeting to be held at 3pm at the Circuit House ground.
Organizers
said massive preparations were being made and a committee and a
sub-committee formed for the successful holding of the rally. Workers
and supporters of the four parties of 10 southern districts are
expected to attend it.
They
said secretary-generals of the four parties and mayors of Rajshahi and
Khulna City Corporations are also expected to address the rally.
Organizers
are planning to mobilize about two and a half lakh people at the grand
rally. About 500 bus-trucks and 200 launches have been hired to enable
the people to attend the rally, they added.
