Naogaon, Apr 21 (UNB) - Police rescued a
kidnapped man and arrested his five sons from Raninagar Upazila Monday
on charge of abduction.
Police said Mozammel Hossain of village Dudia in
Adamdighi upazila of Bogra and his wife took refuge at one of their
relatives’ house at Karaj village in Raninagar upzila in the face of
threat by his seven sons following a dispute over their land property.
Mozammel’s sons had long been putting pressure
on him to officially transfer his land property to their names.
As he defied their demand, his sons picked him up
in broad daylight on April 9 while he was returning to his
relative’s house from a nearby bazar.
On information, police rescued Mozammel, a cloth
trader, from Pakuria village and arrested five of his sons in this
connection.
