Naogaon,
May 7 (UNB) - The trend of suicide has marked an alarming rise in the
district for various reasons including poverty and frustration.
According
to a recent survey conducted by an NGO, nearly 400 people, mostly
women, committed suicide in the district last year.
The
survey attributed the rising trend of self-murder to family feud,
poverty, unemployment and mental illness.
According
to a government rule, one needs to show license from Agriculture
Department for buying pesticides. But the shopkeepers have little
respect to the law.
