Pabna, Feb 14 (UNB)- Local administration has imposed Section 144 at Ishwardi town as Awami League and Jamaat-e-Islami called separate meetings at the same time and venue tomorrow (Thursday).
Jamaat-e-Islami called the meeting a week ago while Awami League convened the meeting on Tuesday at Alhaj Crossing of the town.
Meanwhile, a clash between the activists of Awami League and Jamaat left at least 10 people injured at Alhaj Crossing of the upazila headquarters this (Wednesday) evening.
A large number of police were deployed in the area to fend off any trouble.
