          Apr 25 (UNB) – Revenue earning of Pabna Customs Excise and VAT
          Department appears to surpass its target this year.

          said the revenue income of the department continues to mark an upward
          spiral for the last three years when it earned Tk 118.27 crore in
          revenue.

          Apr 15 (UNB)- Law and order situation of the district has deteriorated
          during last 30 days till April 12 creating panic among the
          peace-loving people. 
           
          
           
          At
          least nine people were killed in various thanas during the period. Of
          them, three people were slaughtered, two were beaten to death, one was
          hacked to death and the rest was strangulated to death.

          Pabna,
          Apr 12 (UNB) – A large number of people in the rural areas of the
          district using canal and pond waters have been affected by diarrhea
          and other intestinal diseases.
          
           
           
          
           
          Health
          Department and Hospital sources admitted paucity of safe drinking
          water in the district and two children died of diarrhea in Vangura and
          Faridpur recently. More than 5,000 people were afflicted by water
          borne diseases during last three months till March.
