Central Queensland University is dedicated to providing Study
Abroad students with a wonderful opportunity to extend their horizons.
CQU’s campus is situated in Rockhampton, close to the Great Barrier Reef. CQU places a strong emphasis on quality teaching
in a caring environment.
Established in 1967, CQU has developed strong links with the local
community and industry allowing opportunities for research in fields
important to the region. CQU is committed to the highest quality of
research. The major research strengths of the University are focused currently in seven designated research centers.
Most students who choose to Study Abroad in Australia are seeking to
extend their horizons. They are curious to discover the ‘real’ Australia
and may wish to explore the outback, the Great Barrier Reef and the
tropical north, as well as broaden their education from an academic
standpoint.
In today’s competitive world where internationalization and
globalization are important, qualifications from a University whose
reputation is based on its innovative approach to offering high quality
programs to students all over the world, are an important asset. Small
tutorial groups and easy access to lecturers and staff allows for a more
personalized approach to both administrative and academic matters.
The tropical climate makes Rockhampton and its surrounding area ideal
for outdoor pursuits such as bushwalking, camping, horse riding, swimming,
scuba diving, wind surfing, sailing and snorkeling.
