Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is one of Australia’s largest
universities .In 1993, QUT was named "Australia’s University of the Year" by the Good
Universities Guide for outstanding undergraduate teaching performance
among Australia’s 38 universities.
QUT offers a wide range of professional courses in its eight
Faculties of Arts, Built Environments & Engineering. Business
Education, Health, Information Technology, Law and Science. QUT is
concerned particularly with the quality of its teaching, the employability
of its graduates and applying its research expertise for the benefit of
the community.
QUT has three campuses in Brisbane. Each campus reflects a different
aspect of Brisbane’s diverse lifestyle. The seven-hectare central city
campus is bordered by Parliament House, The Brisbane River and the City
Botanic Gardens, and is just a few minutes walk from the Central Business
District. The Kelvin Grove campus, QUT’s "hilltop" campus, overlooks the
city from just two kilometers away, and is located in one of Brisbane’s
older established suburbs. A golf course borders the campus. The
Carseldine campus is pleasantly located on the northern outskirts of the
city in a modern, prestigious suburb. The campus is characterized by
ultra-modern architecture set amid spacious landscaped tracts of typical
Australian native bushland style gardens.
