Pakistan are
unstoppable: Sunil Gavaskar
March 31, 2000
Mumbai:
A fearsome burst of fast bowling by Shoaib Akhtar propelled Pakistan into
the finals of the Sharjah tournament. It was a significant win not only
because it got Pakistan in the finals by right and not through the run
rate equation but also because it broken the sequence of wins that South
Africa had over them
Amazingly
Pakistan had not won a one-day game against South Africa since 1994 and
therefore the win will even the psychological superiority that South
Africa had exercised over their talented but unpredictable opponents.
